Subcheck (getsubcheck.com) is run by Josef Moucachen, trading as Synthropy, in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. This page gives the operator’s details as Dutch and EU law require. Subcheck shows public contractor license records; it is not a state agency, an insurance agency or a surety.

What Subcheck is

Subcheck reads the public license files of the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) and the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR), and shows them in a form that is easier to search and watch.

  • We are not a state licensing board, and we do not license or approve contractors.
  • We are not an insurance agency or a surety, and we do not sell bonds or insurance.
  • Subcheck is not connected to, or endorsed by, CSLB, DBPR or any other government agency.

The license data can be a day or more behind the state’s own records. Check the state’s lookup before you rely on a license: CSLB license check for California, DBPR for Florida.

Data sources

To correct a record, contact the agency that publishes it. Our pages show the correction after the next import. To ask us to remove your name from our pages, see the privacy policy.

Consumer dispute resolution

We are not willing or obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. Please write to support@getsubcheck.com first, so we can try to solve a complaint directly.
